The New Toyota Prius A Popular Hybrid Car.
The Toyota Prius hybrid is still the most popular and best selling hybrid vehicle in the USA today. The release of this car in 1997 launched the movement towards hybrids.
Initially, the Prius didn’t sell very well at all, however, sales start to increase as more models were introduced. In 2003 Toyota released a second generation Toyota Prius which became the first midsize hybrid car on the market, and Motor Trend voted it the car of the year.
People are buying hybrid cars not just for environmental and health issues, but also because of soaring gas prices. Prius is the number 1 choice due to its simplicity and price, there are many hybrid cars to choose from.
Many improvements have been made to the latest hybrid vehicles. The first generation Toyota Prius was fuel efficient but it only had the additional option of air-conditioning. The second generation vehicle improved on the first in aesthetics, speed, and size. Of the midsize hatchback sedans in the marketplace, it’s the first one to have won multiple awards.

Customers have the option of buying the vehicle with a navigational system with Bluetooth technology. Unlike all other hybrids on the market, you push a button to start the ignition instead of turning a key. The dashboard contains an energy motor that tracks the power flow between the batteries, engine, and electric motor.
Even though there seems to be more stylish hybrids on the market, however, the Toyota Prius stands out because of its fuel efficiency, reasonable prices and environmentally friendly features. Why not you choose the pioneer, if you are looking for a practical hybrid car?
